Herman Miller

This design was created as an employment posting for the leading office furniture manufacturer, Herman Miller. The objective was to create awareness for active and passive job seekers that the company currently had employment openings.

This was a big space to fill and not a of of information or imagery was given to do so. 

 

I am familiar with the Herman Miller brand and their brand standards. Knowing the font the use as well as the color code for "Herman Miller Red" was helpful in keeping honest with the brand. A good amount of white space helps the copy breathe as well as leaves room for some fun elements.

The triangle design was created at the top evoking a textile feel. All of the West Michigan offices have a lot of live plants and greenery in them, so the plant illustrations on the left side of the ad appropriately represent that element of the work place.

As mentioned, understanding that Herman Miller has a company color, it was utilized to draw the reader to the website encouraging them to visit to see the current job openings.

I feel this posting flyer is very effective in not only following the brand standards of Herman Miller but also showcasing the type of company they are and representing the work place in a positive light.
