The Christ Slayer
I also enjoy telling the story of what it's like behind the scenes of a film production. On set, we have a cinematographer documenting the goings on with the cast and crew. I will then take the footage and watch it all (yes...ALL of it), and cut it together to create one cohesive video depicting the life and times behind the camera.
Below is my behind the scenes take on The Christ Slayer, a faith based feature that was filmed in Yuma, AZ. I was a production coordinator as well as played a role on screen as Crispus, a roman soldier and best friend to the main character.
The challenge I encountered with this project was the lack of confessional interviews. Without the voices of the cast and crew telling of their experience, I was not sure what the story line of this would be. I did have the unique experience of being on the ground with this project and watching all the footage brought back so many memories from our short 3 weeks of production.
What I created was an epic video montage that used the beats and cadence of my chosen soundtrack to tell the tale of independent filmmaking in the desert.
This video was well received by all of production. I am very proud of my work both on and off screen with this project.
